Gold it's self needs more value overall and hopefully we can get that right sooner or later.

Hmm, so a cap level (40) player around global launch with a 4500+ spin streak would have
40 (25+5+10) gems vs 1.5M base gold (500K * 3), so 750K, 1.5M and 3M gold listed on the wheel
or 1:18.75K, 1:37.5K and 1:75K conversion rate, which means back then the latter 2 were actually technically more valuable results than the gems for high streak players!
The current base gold cap of the wheel "only" went up by a factor of 6 with the addition of level 41-50, while gem inflation was closer to a factor 100...
as of 2016-09-11: Player level: 44, City: Eolythes, Blueprints: 517, Mastered: 419, Crafted: 78.61K
(except for tier 1 and some tier 2 artifacts mostly running my shop/gearing self sufficient)
