Mouse/touchpad/touchscreen laptop? It could be a driver update/setting change etc. there. My laptop's touchscreen works OK-ish for Steam, but I still need to be careful to not have it interpret a tap as a doubleclick and swiping/scrolling the craft/quest list mostly fails, clicking instead of scroll...

Really seems to be a platform and/or regional component to the lag... Saw someone complain about lag in world chat, then decided to do some building investments and a few TH request fills and all went through without delay for me. :roll: Edit: and I think the time period most complain about lag-wise...
